Welcome to my webpage!


I am an Associate Professor Serra Hunter at the Department of Econometrics, Statistics and Applied Economics (Public Policies) at the Universitat de Barcelona.

I am also a Visiting Fellow at LSE Health, Department of Health Policy, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and an Associate Researcher at the Centre for Health and Economics (CRES) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF).

I was a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Health System Sustainability (CHeSS), at Brown School of Public Health from March 2025 to August 2025.

I hold a Ph.D. in Law, Economics and Business from the Universitat de Girona, 2013, for which I was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize.


My primary research interests lie in the field of Applied Economics and Econometrics, with a particular focus on health economics, healthcare innovation, ageing, hospital efficiency, and policy evaluation.
